The Habsburgs are one of the most written-about dynasties in history.
In a crowded retail space filled with tons of titles, the task was to create a book cover and design that cuts through instantly and claims attention with authority and presence.
Creative Strategy
Money. Power. Sex. Decadence. Few families shaped Europe – and the world – quite like the Habsburgs.
The design embraces this intensity and turns it into a bold visual stance: royal symbolism, unmistakable colour, and daring type that reflects scale, excess and historical weight without apology.
Design with Purpose
We committed fully to royal black and yellow, glossy finishes and loud typographic composition to create maximum impact on the shelf.
Published by Styria, the book launched at Buch Wien 2025 and was in its third print run within two months. And was shortlisted for the German Book Cover Award – proof that bold clarity translates into attention and sales.
